Hey, I'm Adam! I grew up in Thebes, a small town in southern Illinois — the kind of place where everyone knows everyone. I've been in the Kansas City area for about 20 years now, and it's very much home. Somewhere along the way I picked up a pen, started drawing, and kind of never stopped.

My main thing is Zentangle art — an intricate, pattern-based style worked entirely by hand in black ink. I've been at it since around 2007, and I've built up a pretty big catalog of work over the years. Some pieces are pure black and white, all tight geometric lines and repeating patterns. Others have bold color accents worked in with markers. Each one is built from scratch, one small section at a time — no digital shortcuts, just ink on paper and a whole lot of patience (and occasionally an eraser — I'm only human).

What I love about Zentangle is how meditative it is. There's something really satisfying about filling a page with marks that slowly become something bigger than the sum of their parts. Whether I'm working on a mandala, an hourglass, a bold geometric shape, or just letting the patterns take me wherever they want to go — the process is as much the point as the finished piece.

I also do photography on the side — landscape and paintball, two things that couldn't feel more different but both scratch the same itch: catching a moment you can't get back. I share my work and process online, and I'm always working on something new. Thanks for stopping by!
